TAIKANG Life Insurance recorded a record premium of 57.8 billion yuan (US$8.46 billion) last year, the insurer said yesterday.
The company had premiums of only 150 million yuan when it was established in 1996. The company's assets expanded to 180 billion yuan at the end of last year from 800 million yuan in the past 12 years.
