QFII quotas rise slightly

QUOTAS of US$81.1 billion have been awarded under the Qualified Foreign Institutional Investors program by the end of May, the State Administration of Foreign Exchange said yesterday.
It was a slight increase from US$80.1 billion recorded at the end of April.
As of the end of May, the outstanding quota under the Renminbi-denominated Qualified Foreign Institutional Investors program totalled 502 billion yuan (US$76.3 billion).
China introduced the QFII and RQFII in 2003 and 2011.
