School opens in FTZ
CHINA’S first foreign-invested professional training school opened in the Shanghai free trade zone yesterday after rules were liberalized for foreign investment in the FTZ.
The You Plus school, set up by PricewaterhouseCoopers, aims to offer a 12-month business and commercial program for young people with under five years’ experience in the job market. New rules became effective from April that allow the Pudong New Area authorities to independently approve training schools invested by foreign companies. The Pudong authorities are also processing the approval for another two training schools to be set up by foreign investors in the zone, said officials of the Pudong New Area Human Resources and Social Security Bureau.
