SHANGHAI shares gave up their recent gains and edged down yesterday.
The Shanghai Composite Index dipped 0.63 percent to 3,102.73 points.
Meiyan Jixiang Hydropower Co fell sharply by 9.9 percent to 6.95 yuan (US$1.03) after its shareholder Evergrande Life Insurance Co reduced its stake, according to Meiyan Jixiang’s filing to the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
Sinolink Securities Co predicted the Shanghai gauge would continue to fluctuate between 2,900 points and 3,200 points in the mid-term.
