Shares end flat
SHANGHAI shares closed generally flat yesterday, with falling commodity futures a drag on the market.
The Shanghai Composite Index dipped 0.06 percent to 3,205.06 points. Market sentiment was hurt after iron ore futures in China fell 9 percent. Liquor producers and nonferrous metals firms were also among the worst performers.
Kweichow Moutai Co lost 0.27 percent to 313.15 yuan (US$45.55), and Shanxi Xinghuacun Fen Wine Factory Co fell 1.59 percent to 22.93 yuan. Zhengzhou Coal Industry & Electric Power Co shed 0.68 percent to 5.82 yuan.
