SHANGHAI stocks ended lower yesterday as investors turned cautious toward the market following the central government’s decision to curb speculation and curtail excessive corporate borrowing. The Shanghai Composite Index shed 0.16 percent to 3,118.08 points. Shares of real estate developers, blue-chips and shipping companies were among the biggest decliners.
