Shares end week with 2.8% gain
SHANGHAI stocks rose yesterday, led by software firms and train manufacturers.
The Shanghai Composite Index rose 1.20 percent to end at 3,376.49 points. For the week, the index gained 2.77 percent.
The People’s Bank of China has issued a notice to guide the development of innovative mobile financial services and products. Shares of software companies gained as they will play a key role in installing technology needed to run the services.
Yonyou Software and Shenzhen Kingdom Technology both surged by the daily limit of 10 percent to 37.52 yuan (US$6.05)and 65.98 yuan, while China National Software & Service Company rose 8.74 percent to 47.15 yuan. China CNR Corporation surged by the daily limit of 10 percent to 13.17 yuan. CSR Corporation rose 9.96 percent to 12.36 yuan and Guangshen Railway Company gained 2.43 percent to 4.64 yuan.
