Shares rise to 10-month high
SHANGHAI shares yesterday rose to a 10-month high.
The Shanghai Composite Index gained 0.46 percent to 3,147.89 points.
Li Bin, analyst at Guosen Securities, said the stock market reflected the “steady growth” of the domestic economy since the third quarter of the year “as suggested by the revival of profitability among listed companies.”
Recently listed Xinhuanet Co jumped by the daily limit of 10 percent to 77.72 yuan (US$11.46). Guangxi Radio and Television Information Network Corp gained 5.05 percent to 15.59 yuan.
