SHANGHAI'S overall tax revenue amounted to 781.1 billion yuan (US$122 million) in the first three quarters of this year, including more than 5.5 billion yuan from the real estate industry, according to the Shanghai Local Taxation Bureau.
The property tax in the first nine months rose by 405 million yuan from the first half of the year, an official from the tax bureau said.
The official also said Shanghai will maintain its current property tax policy despite Chongqing's expansion of the scope of its property tax policy.
