Zurich Insurance to open Shanghai subsidiary

Mayor Han Zheng welcomed Zurich Insurance Group to open a branch in Shanghai as the city is accelerating market opening and is building itself as an international financial center.
The mayor made the remark yesterday while meeting Zurich Insurance Group CEO Martin Senn who was visiting Shanghai.
Han said Shanghai is striving to improve business environment for foreign financial firms and opening a branch in Shanghai is a win-win situation for Zurich Insurance Group and for Shanghai.
Martin Senn said the Chinese market is very important to the company and setting up a branch in Shanghai is the company's strategy.
