CHINA'S 3G user base has reached 40 million and a third of them use the China-developed 3G technology standard, Xi Guohua, vice minister of industry and information technology, said yesterday.
China's mobile phone user base has reached 850 million and there are 440 million Internet users, both ranking as the world's No. 1, Xi said.
