Ant Financial Services under Alibaba embraces high technology

ALIBABA’S financial affiliate Ant Financial Services showcased its virtual reality and augmented reality devices as well as payment solutions embodied with functions such as facial recognition and voice recognition at the Computing Conference in Hangzhou today.
It also teamed up with Tsinghua University’s Institute for Interdisciplinary Information Sciences to establish a joint lab on digital financial technologies to bring home-grown financial services to overseas companies.
Joint research efforts will be poured into key areas such as blockchain and artificial intelligence in the next five years.
Both parties will seek to put scientific research output into application and hope to push for a win-win situation for both academia and businesses and they’ll also explore collaboration models between high schools and technology firms.
By joining forces of its sister company Alibaba Cloud, Ant Financial also aims to serve 50,000 domestic and overseas financial institutions by providing them quick access to mobile payment solutions.
