Aveva sees China revenue to grow by 鈥榙ouble digits鈥
AVEVA, a UK-based energy engineering software vendor, said yesterday it sees China revenue to grow by “double digits” annually within a few years.
China ranked No. 2 in Asia behind South Korea by revenue. But China will become No. 1 in future with at least “double-digit” growth, or 20 percent, said Paul Eveleigh, chairman and head of Aveva China’s business.
At present, Aveva Asia’s revenue accounts for 40 percent of its global revenue.
Aveva aims to generate revenue from energy, manufacture, new energy, shipbuilding and marine firms in China, said Paul Eveleigh, chairman and head of Aveva China’s business.
“It’s the best time for them (energy firms) to increase investment in IT and management for long-term development,” Eveleigh said in Aveva’s office in Shanghai.
Aveva’s software helps clients design, build and manage facilities in a smart and controllable way, and is widely used in the energy industry. Its clients include top Chinese oil firms and nuclear power giants, which are preparing to re-start operation following a nuclear accident in Japan several years ago.
Aveva is confident China’s economic growth can support its development in the region.
