China sales grow
DELL Inc's revenue in China gained annually in the first quarter of this year, despite a fall in its global revenue and net profit in the period, the world's No. 3 personal computer maker said yesterday.
Its revenue in China grew 9 percent, compared with an average 4 percent growth in BRIC countries - Brazil, Russia, India and China, thanks to the growing demand in the market.
Globally, Dell's net profit was US$630 million in the first quarter, up an annual 63 percent. The revenue fell 4 percent annually to US$14.4 billion.
