Cloud-computing hospital tie-up
ALIBABA said yesterday that it has joined hands with Shenzhen-listed Xi’an International Medical Investment Co to build a cloud-computing capability-enabled hospital.
Alibaba’s cloud-computing division will provide data analyzing technologies and payment service for Xi’an International Medical Center, which is scheduled to start operation in early 2018.
The 1.5 billion yuan (US$242 million) medical center will also provide medical services and health management for neighboring regions, using technology from Alibaba and DHC Software, a Shenzhen-listed software and computer technology firm, a joint statement said yesterday.
Patients at the center will be able to use the technology to access their diagnostic and medical reports on smartphones or mobile devices.
