Domestic firms hold their own at fair
DOMESTIC firms are showcasing advanced technological products and services at the 2nd China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair.
The products include traditional Chinese medicine, healthcare, garbage disposal, 3D printing, robot making and 4G applications.
“Domestic startups and individual inventors have found the fair a perfect platform to introduce their technologies to the world,” said Shang Yuying, director of the Shanghai Commission of Commerce.
Over 57 percent of the domestic exhibitors are small and medium companies.
The country’s biggest technology fair closes today.
Among the highlighted products is the use of sensors and data analysis systems for TCM as well as a capsule-size robot used for a painless stomach diagnosis.
“We are in contact with several overseas hospitals and healthcare organizations for possible cooperation,” said Xiao Guohua, chief executive of Wuhan-based Ankon, the developer of the capsule robot.
To ensure intellectual property rights or patents of the products, organizers of the fair have offered on-site IPR checking services.
