Fast growth seen
SAMSUNG Electronics, which launched new Galaxy tablet computers and smartphones, expected its Chinese revenue to grow rapidly this year thanks to the country's booming LCD TV and smartphone market, the South Korea-based electronics giant said.
Samsung, which had already unveiled 7-inch tablet computers in China, launched new 8.9-inch and 10-inch Galaxy Tab models on Wednesday in Shanghai, joining a war in the tablet computer market with Apple Inc, Motorola Inc and Lenovo Group.
Samsung also expected China's LCD TV sales to grow 20 percent this year, which will help the country to surpass the United States to become the world's No. 1 LCD TV market "within several years."
