From search to AI
BAIDU should transform from an Internet firm to an artificial intelligence company to better reshape and challenge other industry players in automobile and consumer electronics, Chairman Robin Li said yesterday. “Artificial intelligence technologies are reshaping the ways people connect with machines and devices,” Li told the Baidu Union Summit. He also urged that the company’s core strategy should shift from “think mobile to think AI.” China’s largest search engine operator is trying to turn its leading data and machine learning technology into new revenue growth areas.
