INTERNET industry earnings in China is expected to grow 25 percent a year in the next three years to top 600 billion yuan (US$95 billion) in 2015, according to an industry report made available today.

By 2015, the gross turnover of domestic e-commerce companies is expected to reach 18 trillion yuan, more than tripling the 4.5 trillion yuan in 2010, China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology said.

It said the government will also step up the protection of intellectual properties and the fight against online piracy.

Internet companies are expected to directly employ more than 2.3 million workers by 2015, the Ministry said in its report.
