Jimubox eyes funds
BEIJING-BASED online lender Jimubox yesterday launched a third round to raise US$84 million to help the firm expand its footprint.
Dong Jun, president and chief executive officer at Jimubox, said the funds will be mainly used to expand the firm’s offline sales channels and manage risk.
UK-based banking and asset-management group Investec is said to invest the biggest amount in Jimubox in this latest round. But no figure was released. Mandra Capital, Zhong Capital Fund and Haitong Kaiyuan Investment Co are also said to be Jimubox’s new shareholders.
Jimubox raised US$47.2 million from its first two rounds of fundraising last year.
