PARTICIPANTS at the China International Industrial Fair are eying bigger shares in the country’s fast growing Internet of Things market.
China’s IOT market is forecast to grow an average 13.3 percent a year to hit US$361 billion by 2020.
Globalfoundries, a US-based semiconductor firm, said it has developed transistors only 7 nanometers long, but capable of carrying more signals than the larger models they are replacing. It enhances the performance of semiconductors and slows power waste during transmission, said Michael Cadigan, the company’s vice president.
