Microsoft upgrades messenger service

MICROSOFT started a compulsory upgrading of its MSN Messenger worldwide today.

It will take two months to complete the upgrade. The new version will be more stable and include extra security, sina.com reported today.

After two months old versions of MSN Messenger will no longer function. Microsoft last had a compulsory upgrade of MSN Messenger in 2007 when the 8.1 version was introduced.
