MOTOROLA Mobility and China Mobile announced yesterday in Beijing that they will open an online application store in China, the world's biggest mobile phone market with more than 900 million handset users.
The cooperation will regulate the market of Android operating system-based applications, which have been unstable and prone to viruses, industry insiders said.
Meanwhile, both sides also jointly launched Moto MT870, the world's first Android phone from an overseas handset manufacturer using China's home-grown 3G technology.
