Sage aims to foray
SAGE Software, the world's No. 3 ERP solution provider, aimed to penetrate the Chinese ERP (enterprise resource planning) market of 5 billion yuan (US$735 million) annually, with flexible configuration and competitive pricing, the UK-based firm said yesterday.
Compared with bigger rivals SAP and Oracle, Sage provides users flexible choices and low cost, which is usually 50 percent lower of the total cost, said Christophe Letellier, Sage's ERP X3 general manager.
Sage, which provides software for small and medium enterprises, expected to add over 100 mid-market customers from the existing 1,500 installed bases in China's new fiscal year starting from October, according to Patrick Cai, Sage China's chief executive.
