Shanda's new exec

SHANDA Entertainment has appointed a new senior executive from Yahoo! Inc to be in charge of Internet-related services, the Nasdaq-listed firm said yesterday.
Tuoc Luong, former senior vice president of Yahoo, was appointed as chief executive of Shanda Online, an online platform subsidiary of Shanghai-based Shanda.
At present, Shanda Online covers Shanda's online account management, cloud computing and a Twitter-like online social service.
Also yesterday, Shanda said 37 percent of its staff had a title promotion or salary increase in the first quarter of this year.
