Sony China has new president

SONY China has a new president at the helm, the company announced yesterday.
High on Hiroshi Takahashi’s agenda when he takes over on Friday will be launching cutting-edge gadgets that integrate electronics with entertainment and exploring the youth market, he said.
“We will observe local trends in China and use our global resources to penetrate the domestic market,” said Takahashi.
At an exhibition yesterday in Beijing called Sony Expo, products on display included 4K TV, game consoles and wearable virtual-reality products.
Kazuo Hirai, Sony’s president and CEO, said yesterday that China is one of Sony’s three biggest markets globally. The other two are the United States and Japan.
