Tie-up for big data applications

SUGON, a leading vendor of HPC (high performance computer) solutions, is cooperating with the Shanghai Supercomputer Center on industrial Internet and big data applications, both parties said yesterday in Shanghai.
HPC, which includes industrial chips, storage and energy management, is widely used in government, aerospace, energy, education and Internet services.
Sugon is working with the local supercomputer center to develop industrial Internet applications for automotive manufacturing and aerospace research.
Sugon, whose parent is the Chinese Academy of Sciences, has developed applications used in over 20 industries nationwide. In the long term, HPC will be used in 100 industries, Yang Fukang, Sugon’s vice president, said yesterday in Shanghai.
