Uber and Yongda team up

SMARTPHONE taxi-hailing application Uber said yesterday that it is collaborating with Yongda Automoiles Services Holding Ltd to provide more value-added services for Chinese rental car companies.
Yongda, a passenger car retailer and comprehensive service provider, said it has already signed car purchasing orders worth at least 100 million yuan (US$16 million) for Audi and Volkswagen models with car rental firms through Uber’s platform, according to a joint statement.
In China, the collaboration will allow car rental companies to enjoy favorable financing deals provided by Yongda.
Uber also has similar financial services worldwide for car rental firms that put their vehicles on Uber for hire.
