Ufida's subsidiary

UFIDA Software Co, China's biggest software firm, invested 30 million yuan (US$4.5 million) to start a management and consulting subsidiary in Shanghai yesterday, part of its expansion plan to compete with IBM and Oracle.

Through the new Ufida Long Term Partner Management Consulting Co, Shanghai-listed Ufida aimed to provide packaged software and consulting services to domestic firms in fast moving consumer goods, retail, property and manufacturing industries.

The management and consulting market, with revenue of 20 billion yuan in 2009, will grow 30 percent annually, analysts said. Ufida will expand its market share in China and Asia via mergers and acquisitions in the next two or three years, Ufida Chairman Wang Wenjing said
