THE latest iOS system upgrade will enable Chinese iPhone users to block scam and fraud calls, use Siri to call a cab and order food directly through Apple Map.
Chinese dot-com firms, including Qihoo 360, Yidao and Dianping have upgraded iPhone applications in the App Store with various functions to support the new iOS 10 system, which supports iPhone 5 and later models.
Unwanted calls from real estate agents, education service promoters and financial fraud calls will be blocked. Qihoo 360, with 700 million users, has a database of scam phone numbers. In August, it helped Android users to block 110 million calls on average every day. Taxi-hailing apps now support Siri that allows voice call service.
