Bullish on Chinese sales
GERMAN manufacturer Freudenberg expects China sales to rise about 50 percent this year on strong demand and a low base in 2009, said Hanno D. Wentzler, its regional representative in China.
The company's China sales totaled 2.24 billion yuan (US$335 million) last year, or 5.6 percent of the group's total. Wentzler told Shanghai Daily he expected the percentage of China sales will double within five years.
The company inaugurated a plant last week in Yantai, Shandong Province, to supply chassis components and air springs for commercial vehicles.
