Fair seeks to focus on emerging industries
THE China International Industry Fair in Shanghai this year aims to focus on the development of several emerging industries in the country as well as opportunities in the post-Expo era.
As fewer companies will take part in this year's show, to be held from next Tuesday to Saturday, organizers expect the exhibition to be of a higher quality.
Many exhibits this year will be related to sectors such as energy saving, high-end equipment manufacturing, new energy and new energy cars that have all been identified by the State Council, China's Cabinet, as emerging industries in the country, which should benefit from government incentives.
Technologies in LED lighting and building energy conservation, widely used in the just-ended World Expo, will also be seen at this year's fair, the organizer said.
