Helping expats find ideal high-end homes

AN interview with Tony Huang, general manger of Maxview Realty.

Q: Could you tell us a bit about Maxview Realty?

A: Maxview Realty is funded by US investment and helps expats and multinationals find high-end homes in Shanghai. For a lot of people, finding a house in Shanghai can be very stressful. We want to make it as easy and headache-free as possible by providing a one-stop service for all expats' housing needs.

Q: What makes Maxview Realty stand out from other real estate agencies?

A: I'd say our biggest advantage is that we hire the best people. All our staff have almost double the average industry experience, so they're better at finding just the right homes for our clients and getting the best prices possible. We also invest a lot in training, letting our staff learn from professional corporate training companies and high-end professionals.

Another big plus is that our team of professional engineers checks all homes in advance. They check over 100 items per property, like gas, plumbing, wiring, lighting, cleanliness and lots more. We use the same team to provide 24/7 maintenance and housekeeping to all our customers.

Q: How will the World Expo affect the rental market?

A: With over 5 million international visitors coming to Shanghai for the World Expo, demand for housing (and rent) is going to shoot through the roof. Maxview can help with that, since we work with over 50,000 reputable individual landlords and asset management firms all over Shanghai to help visitors and expats find short-stay accommodation at reasonable prices.
