Dalian Wanda Group Developer books into Hilton

CHINESE real estate developer Dalian Wanda Group has recently entered into a strategic relationship with Hilton Hotels after appointing the global hospitality giant to manage five hotels Wanda plans to develop and own.

The agreement covers several upscale and luxury brands under the Hilton family, including the Conrad Sanya Haitang Bay, Doubletree by Hilton Sanya Haitang Bay, the Conrad Dalian, the Hilton Dalian and the Hilton Nanjing, all to be opened by 2012, the two companies said.

Hilton now has nine Chinese hotels in operation and 23 hotels under development, and the hotelier aims to increase its China presence to 32 by 2012.
