Fengxian and Jinshan Houses More Costly

THE prices of new apartments in the suburban districts of Fengxian and Jinshan exceeded 10,000 yuan (US$1,464) per square meter last week.
That helped push up the weekly prices of new homes in the city, which rose 6.3 percent to 15,404 yuan per square meter between July 27 and August 2, E-House (China) Holdings Ltd said yesterday in its weekly report.
An apartment project in Fengxian sold 219 units at an average price of 10,788 yuan per square meter over the past week while 137 new apartments in a housing development in Jinshan were sold at an average of 12,984 yuan per square meter, according to the latest E-House research.
