Fewer projects offer discounts
THERE will be fewer housing projects in Shanghai offering discounts for a second month in April amid continued robust buying sentiment.
A total of 145 projects comprising apartments and villas - representing nearly 30 percent of the city's residential developments available for sale - will provide discounts next month, down from 175 this month and 188 in February, according to Soufun.com, which operates China's largest real estate website, yesterday.
By proximity to the city center, about two-thirds of the projects providing discounts in April are located beyond the Outer Ring Road, and 26 of the 145 developments will offer over 10-percent discount, up from three in March, Soufun said.
