Homing on growth

CAPITALAND, one of Asia's largest real estate developers, has announced that it has set up a new business unit, CapitaValue Homes, to grow its residential business in the affordable housing sector in China and Vietnam.
CapitaValue Homes has identified two projects, one each in China and Vietnam.
In China, a site in Wuhan, Hubei Province, located about 20 kilometers from the city center with a gross floor area of over 200,000 square meters, has been picked.
As planned, the joint venture project with a Chinese state-owned enterprise will yield more than 2,000 homes, each of around 90 square meters, once it is completed.
