Vanke earnings jump

CHINA Vanke, the country's biggest developer by market value, yesterday said its 2010 net profit rose 36.65 percent on strong demand for homes.
Its net income surged to 7.28 billion yuan (US$1.1 billion), from 5.3 billion yuan in 2009, the company said in a statement.
Operating revenue last year rose 3.75 percent on an annual basis to 50.71 billion yuan.
