AVIC eyes global hires
CHINA'S biggest plane maker yesterday said it's on a global hunt for 13 senior executives, the first time a Chinese defence company is hiring managers from home and abroad.
The executives will work at 12 subsidiaries, business units and research institutes, Aviation Industry Corp, parent of China's jumbo jet maker, said in a statement yesterday. They will work in business management, production management, marketing, research and development and capital operations.
The aircraft maker is especially interested in candidates who have background or experiences as middle-level executives at multinational companies, large Chinese state-owned enterprises or other large enterprises.
"In order to actively merge into the global aviation industrial chain as well as merge into the regional economic development circle and strive to meet the target of 1 trillion yuan (US$0.15 trillion) revenue by 2017, AVIC needs a large number of professional managers," said Gao Jianshe, its executive vice president.
The recruitment program is expected to last for about half a year, with March 30 as the deadline for applications.
China has merged its two largest aircraft makers to establish AVIC.
