Airline eyes traffic
MAHAN Air will inaugurate its first Chinese route between Shanghai and Iran next month as it eyes the growing tourism and trade demand between the two destinations after Iran opens to Chinese tourists on August 15.
The Iran-based carrier will use a Boeing 747 jet, which can seat 431 passengers, on the non-stop flight from Shanghai to Tehran every Tuesday and Saturday from September 3. Shanghai will be Mahan Air's 18th international destination.
