Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner makes Asian debut

THE world’s first Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner made its Asian commercial debut from Shanghai yesterday.

Air New Zealand flew the medium-sized aircraft, which has been painted in black. The carrier is the world’s first to receive the model of the 787 family, which it operate on its Shanghai-Auckland route.

Air China has also ordered 15 Boeing 787-9 aircraft. The bigger 787 version has a 6-meter longer fuselage and a 550-kilometer longer flying range.
