Didi joins Avis to diversify services

AVIS Budget Group, a US-based vehicle rental services group, is partnering Didi Chuxing to provide Chinese Didi users with car rental services in other countries as Didi diversifies its services and builds a broader network.
Chinese outbound travelers can use Didi’s mobile app to book Avis and Budget rental cars in 175 countries and regions.
The tie-up with Avis Budget marks Didi’s latest move to grow its international network after it banded with Lyft.
“Internationalization is a clear mission for Didi and we’ll continue to explore the frontier of innovation,” said Fu Qiang, senior vice president of Didi Chuxing and general manager for Didi Car Rental.
