Fair boost to logistics industry
A biennial transport logistics fair with nearly 500 firms will be held in June in Shanghai, giving a much-needed boost for the fast growing industry in China.
As the Chinese version of the world's biggest logistics fair, the Fourth Transport Logistic China will be held from June 8 to 10 at Shanghai New International Expo Center.
The three-day fair has lured 500 firms from 50 countries and they will show the latest technology and cost-efficient ways of moving goods. Some 15,000 professionals will attend the event.
"As one of the drivers in the world economy, the number of goods to be transported from China to other markets will keep growing," Eugen Egetenmeir, managing director of event organizer Munich Trade Fairs International Group, told Shanghai Daily yesterday.
The show will show how to organize logistics in the best way, how to manage the goods flow efficiently and how to keep high occupancy of ships, planes and trucks, he said.
