TAIWAN-BASED China Airlines yesterday signed an agreement with SkyTeam Airline Alliance to formally start the process of its entry as a full member.
The process is expected to be completed by middle of 2011. The announcement comes just a few months after China Eastern signed a deal to join SkyTeam.
China Airlines presently serves 93 destinations in 28 countries and regions worldwide. By the end of August, the carrier operates 66 aircraft, including 46 passenger jets and 20 freighters.
