CHINA Eastern Airlines yesterday opened China’s largest VIP lounge at Pudong International Airport in Shanghai.
The Shanghai-based airline began building the “flagship” lounge at the T2 terminal early this year. The carrier aims to compete with other Asian carriers such as the Emirates and Qatar Airways who are building and renovating their luxury lounges to attract VIP customers. The new lounge covers about 9,000 square meters and can serve over 1,000 domestic and international passengers to become the second-largest in Asia.
