2 new Metro lines

Two new subway lines will be under construction next year and their environmental impact assessment reports are now placed on the official website of Hangzhou Metro Corporation for public review.
The first-phase construction of Metro Line 5 is expected to take 60 months while that of Line 6 will take 56 months. Both are scheduled to begin operating in 2019, according to www.hzmetro.com.
The first phase of Metro Line 5 will run from Century Park Station in Yuhang District to Xiangzhang Road Station in Xiaoshan District. The 48.57-kilometer line will have 17 stations.
Metro Line 6 will start from Shuangpu Station in Xihu District and end at Fengbei Station in Xiaoshan District. The 27km rail link will have 19 stations.
