Bus fares cut

The Hangzhou Price Bureau announced price cuts for bus-to-bus transfers using valid cards. The new policy took effect on October 1.
Holders of public transport cards, citizen cards and monthly passes can save 1 yuan or 2 yuan if they transfer to another vehicle within 90 minutes.
Meanwhile, the bureau said the practice of seasonal discounts — holders of monthly passes could enjoy half price for the first leg of their trips and either a 1 yuan or 2 yuan discount for the second leg — terminated on October 1.
All bus lines operated by Hangzhou Public Transport Group, except K588, K596, K598 and K599, will implement the new policy. People paying fares with coins won’t receive the discount. From December 1, passengers transferring between bus and Metro will also get a discount, the bureau said.
