Canal boat cruises

Two sightseeing boats will cruise the downtown section of the Grand Canal between Wulinmen Ferry and East Gongchen Bridge during today’s Lantern Festival.
One trip takes about 30 minutes and there will be an interval of 15 minutes between two boats, which offer sightseeing service between 6:45pm and 9pm through tomorrow.
People can board the boats either at Wulinmen Ferry or East Gongchen Bridge Ferry. The boats will carry them to see lantern shows at Grand Canal Plaza or West Lake Culture Plaza, both within walking distance from the ferry.
The Grand Canal, with a history of more than 1,000 years, used to link Hangzhou with Beijing.
