Ex-envoy, execs talk

Former US ambassador to China Gary Locke invited eight leading entrepreneurs in Zhejiang Province to lunch last Friday to discuss economic issues.
The eight entrepreneurs include Lu Guanqiu from Wanxiang Group, Zong Qinghou from Wahaha Group and Nan Chunhui from Chint Group. Locke also invited senior executives from Geely Group and some foreign guests.
The entrepreneurs discussed the economy in English, and also voiced complaints on difficulties in their US operations. The meeting lasted for about 90 minutes.
The food was in Hangzhou style, including Longjing shrimp, steamed fresh meat and bamboo shoots.
