G20 art contest
THOUSANDS of students from primary and high schools in the city joined a painting, postcard design and Chinese paper-cutting contest themed around the upcoming G20 Summit in Hangzhou.
Many student artworks featured local scenic spots, including West Lake, Three Pools Mirroring Moon, the Leifeng Pagoda, as well as elements from traditional Chinese culture.
Wang Wei, Yu Chang, Yang Danyi and Wei Yini won top prizes in the painting category.
The award-winning works will be reproduced on Metro carriages and bus stops across the city.
The summit will be held on September 4-5.
